Scarborough businesses Pomodoro and Roof Top Bar seek permission for licence changes

Two Scarborough businesses have applied to North Yorkshire Council with proposed changes to their licences.

Pomodoro restaurant has applied for a pavement licence and the Roof Top Bar is seeking to extend its premises and opening hours.

Alessandro Borzone has submitted a pavement licence application for the Pomodoro Pizzeria and Cafe in Newborough.

Previously, the council gave Pomodoro permission to site “12 chairs, six tables, parasols and barriers” stretching for 15ft in front of the building.

Members of the public wishing to make representations regarding this application can do so until Wednesday, April 24.

Mr and Mrs Austin have also applied to North Yorkshire Council to vary the premises licence for the Roof Top Bar, 1 Pier Terrace, Scarborough

If approved, the bar would be allowed to increase its licensable area and extend the permitted hours for the sale of alcohol and general opening hours.

The new opening hours would be from 10am to 11.30pm, seven days a week.

The deadline for representations regarding this application is Tuesday, May 7.
