Hide AdPenny Beniston, Scarborough & Whitby Market Superintendent said: “It’s a bit strange, most of the shops on the mezzanine and in the vaults are closed, except for Bakers and Brew who are open.
“In the main hall, all of the essential food suppliers are open and most are offering local deliveries
“The fish man is doing an extra day this week.
“It’s easy to socially distance in the Market Hall and we are ready to manage any queues we do get.”
Opening times are 8am until 4pm and takeaway food is available from Café Deil and Bakers & Brew.

Ms Beniston said: “We are having a large Christmas tree on the mezzanine, which is coming next week. We want to use this time to decorate, so when we fully reopen we look fabulous!”
