Scarborough Yacht Club has installed a defibrillator cabinet to the exterior of the clubhouse building.

This provides access to the essential emergency life-saving equipment located at the far end of Vincent Pier for both harbour community users and members of the public.

Commodore Roger Buxton: “We would like to thank the British Heart Foundation and the Harbour Master and Staff for their help and funding assistance.

“Instructions are now displayed alongside the defibrillator.

“However, the Yacht Club is planning to host a number of evenings, open to both members and locals, on the operation of the equipment.”
