Whitby Coastguard rescue team were called to help someone who was injured after slipping on rocks and falling near the car park at Sandsend.

The team, found the casualty near the road bridge close to the car park at the north of Sandsend who were alerted on Thursday September 3 at 1.44pm,

Lifeguards were already there and, with their help, the coastguard rescuers helped the person up to the car park and into the care of the ambulance service.
