Aldcroft to start for England under-20s in France clash

Scarborough-born Zoe Aldcroft is set to start for England womens under-20s when they take on France on Saturday.

Aldcroft, who plays for Darlington Mowden Park and learned her trade as a youngster at Scarborough RUFC, will play at number eight when the England youngsters tackle their French counterparts at Esher.

Last time out, the under-20s beat Army Women 41-12 with 16 new caps wearing the white shirt for the first time.

England will be looking to improve on last season’s two clashes against France, having lost away 25-0 before a 10-5 loss at home last March.

Saturday will mark the first of two games against France this month, with the second away at Chantilly RFC on Saturday March 19.
