Josie Owen stars as Scarborough Ladies Under-12s Reds triumph against Elvington Harriers
Scarborough Ladies Under-12s Reds continued their fine form in the City of York Girls Football League with a 4-1 home win against Elvington Harriers.
The home team’s goals came from Josie Owen, Poppy Timmins and a brace for the Scarborough Ladies Reds’ leading goalscorer Amelia Dickinson.
There were fine displays from Dickinson, Erin Hirst and Amiele Milton but the Reds Under-12s girl of the match went to Josie Owen whose effort, positioning and improvement was great to see.
The result leaves the Reds second in the Division Two league table, and their next match sees them make the short trip down A64 to face local rivals Heslerton on Saturday morning.
