On 15 minutes, Heslerton forward Tom Peel received the ball on halfway, wide on the left and only six yards inside the Park half, spotting the keeper at the edge of his box, he fired a low, pacy shot into the net, writes Keith Sales.

Ten minutes later the hosts doubled their lead, Rob Ruston fed Morgan Kendrew who hit an unstoppable first-time shot inside the left hand post.

On the half hour, Gareth Driver received the ball with his back to goal and laid a delightful ball off to Peel whose ferocious shot gave the keeper no chance. Then, moments before the interval, a Kendrew corner was headed powerfully in by centre-back Jack Burnett.In the second half the visitors rallied and did grab a consolation on 80 minutes, the ball bundled home in a crowded six yard box by their star man George Bond.Centre-back Nathan Poole hardly put a foot wrong for the hosts and earned the man of the match award, the Duncombe Park award was wo by marksman George Bond.

Amotherby & Swinton Reserves drew 2-2 at home to Whitby Fishermen’s Society Academy.

Jordy Horsley fired the hosts into the lead, Louis Harrison equalised for the visitors who took the lead with a fine goal scored by Slater Jay but a Oscar Johnston penalty scored a deserved equaliser for the home side, all the goals coming in the first half.

Man of the Match winners were Jamie Kerrison (Amotherby) and Kieran Wade (Fishermen).

The Goldsborough v Filey Town Reserves gam was postponed owing to a waterlogged pitch.
