Boro handed new loanee Caine Winfarrah a debut on Saturday in the 0-0 draw against Lancaster, while Cameron Murray dropped to the bench.

Murray was joined on the substitutes by Ryan Blott, James Bennett, Dean Lisles and Bradshaw, all of whom have been key figures for Boro this season.

Joint-boss Paul Foot said: “There are always going to be questions from fans about team selection and I can understand that.

“As regards Cameron, he hasn’t played a lot of football since he joined us from York City.

“He has certainly put the effort in, but he’s been coming off after every game to have his groin iced.

“We left him out on Saturday to give him a bit of a break and he was happy with that after Saturday’s game.

“We do have a lot of players to pick from, but we have to assess each game as it comes.

“Sometimes it is because we have to change formation or look at something new, sometimes it is because somebody needs a rest.

“Players like Ryan (Blott), James (Bennett) and the other lads who have been on the bench, have shown an excellent attitude, which definitely helps you as a manager.”

Bamber Bridge will boast former £5million man Jon Macken in their attack when they host Boro.

The 37-year-old ex-Manchester City and Derby man joined Bridge a week ago and has played against both Darlington and Mossley.
