Police respond to 'concerns for safety' of woman on Glen Bridge, Scarborough

Numerous ‘concern for safety’ reports were made to the police just after 2.50pm today (Thursday October 27).

Officers spoke to the woman with ambulance and fire crews in attendance as a precaution.

She was brought to safety and detained at 6pm.

Nearby roads and footpaths were closed to the public while the incident was being dealt with.

They have all now re-opened and police have thanked the public for their patience and understanding.
