Vigil held in Scarborough's Peasholm Park to show support for Ukraine
Around 35 people have gathered in Scarborough’s Peasholm Park to light candles and hold a period of quiet reflection in a display of solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Organiser Wanda Maciusko said: “It was very effective and we are thinking of holding a regular event outside the Town Hall.
"It helps to remind people that the Ukraine war is still going on.
"We stood in silence and thought about what was happening in Ukraine and showed our solidarity with them.”
