Papa's Fish and Chip shop in Scarborough is selling a deep fried version of Colin the Caterpillar, which has gone viral in the last week dubbed "caterpillar-gate", all in the name of charity.
The chippy, which also has shops in Whitby, Cleethorpes, and Hull, joked that it was taking a stand in support of supermarket Aldi after retail giant Marks & Spencer launched a lawsuit claiming it had copied its popular cake with the similar Cuthbert the Caterpillar.

Owner Dino Papa said: "It's all a bit of fun and a great way to raise money for charity.
"Like the rest of the nation, we have been gripped by the Colin and Cuthbert saga and we've chosen which side we are backing.
"The battered caterpillars are also absolutely delicious, so we thought why not?"
