Singer Jacqui Abbott has had to pull out of tonight’s performance at Bridlington Spa, as well as other weekend shows in Glasgow and Stockton, on medical advice – but the show will still go on!

A statement on the Bridlington Spa Facebook page reads: “We look forward to Jacqui rejoining the tour soon and we will keep you up to date with her progress.

"In the meantime, Paul and the band look forward to putting on a great show for you all tonight and at all the shows this weekend.

“If you would prefer not to attend the Bridlington, Glasgow and Stockton shows you will be able claim a refund from your point of purchase before the show takes place.

“Please only contact our box office, if you purchased your tickets from Bridlington Spa directly and are seeking a refund, otherwise you must contact your point of purchase.”

Abbott was lead vocalist in The Beautiful South from 1994 to 2000.
