“There are some really experienced players in there, so training and playing alongside them is really bringing me on.
“My main aim is to get in there and play as many games as I can for the club, that is why I’m here.
“I’m hoping this is just the start of it, I really want to push on.

“I’m feeling good and fit now and I’m really loving my football.”
Jowett is also looking to improve his vision on the pitch this week by getting some new contact lenses.
He explained: “I wear glasses, but because I’ve only been playing locally I’ve never done anything about it when I’m on the pitch.

“I’m going back in this week to get it all sorted because you need them at this level of football.”
That isn’t the only part of the game that Jowett has been working on since making the step up.
“The pace and the quality is much better and everyone is a lot fitter and stronger,” Jowett added.

Jowett will be hoping to keep his place in the side for Boro’s next two friendlies at Trafford on Saturday and then on the road at Pickering Town on Tuesday.
