Police step up patrols in Bridlington after man badly hurt in attack

Police have been carrying out high visibility patrols in part of the East Coast where a man suffered serious injuries in an attack.

High visibility police patrols have been carried out after a man was attacked in Bridlington.

Officers were out on Marshall Avenue in Bridlington last night in a bid to provide reassurance to people living in the area.

Six people have been arrested in connection with the assault on Saturday night which has left the man in a critical condition.

Anyone with information about the attack, which happened at about 7.40pm on Saturday, is asked to call police via 101, quoting log 511 of August 15.
