Police in Filey are warning of scammers targeting farm shops and butchers.

Officers say the culprits have been contacting shops, saying they want to place a large order of meat and wanting to pay for the order on several credit cards in order to spread the cost.

Police are urging people not to accept the order, saying it is a scam.

Anyone who thinks they may have been called by the scammers is urged to call police via 101.
