The chalets were brought to Bridlington last year.

The 15 chalets, which were installed near to the park and ride site last year, were highly commended in the offsite construction category of the Yorkshire and Humber Construction Excellence Awards.

Cllr Richard Burton, portfolio holder for leisure, tourism and culture, said: “Congratulations to the team involved in this project – these chalets look superb, and have proved very popular in Bridlington, and a great addition to what the council can offer residents and tourists alike.”

Principal project manager Adam Holmes added: “It’s particularly pleasing to see East Riding as one of the forerunners implementing the government’s Construction Strategy of delivering offsite construction projects.”

If you fancy testing them out, the chalets can be booked online at or by calling the foreshores office on 678255.
