Breaking news update: Two dead and two badly hurt after horror crash near Driffield, East Yorkshire
Humberside Police remain in attendance at a road traffic collision close to the entrance of a golf club on the A164, Driffield, which occurred at around 1.14pm today (Wednesday 06 August 2014).
A silver coloured Nissan Micra and a white Nissan Quashqai were involved in a serious collision.
A red Chevrolet Kalos SX was also damaged in the incident.
The man driving the Nissan Micra and the woman passenger, both believed to be in their 70’s, have both died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
The man driving the Nissan Quashqai and his woman passenger have both sustained serious injuries which are not thought to be life threatening. They are both at the Hull Royal Infirmary receiving treatment.
The occupants of the Chevrolet were not injured.
No motorcycle was involved.
Road closures are still in place and it is expected it will re-opened within the next two hours.
