Borough’s coronavirus infection rate continues to fall but number of people being treated in Scarborough Hospital rises
Scarborough’s seven-day infection rate per 100,000 people now stands at 47, down two on yesterday.
The borough’s rate remains above the averages for North Yorkshire and England as whole.

Hide AdOne month ago Scarborough’s infection rate had dropped as low as 20 but has climbed steadily ever since.
The number of Covid-19 patients in Scarborough Hospital has also continued to rise with 12 people now in beds on the site.
That is an increase of four on last week but the overall number of patients in hospitals in North Yorkshire is falling, down three to 57 as of yesterday.
Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
