Wrestling comes back to Brid Spa

LIVE wrestling is coming back to Bridlington Spa.

For the first time in 20 years it will host wrestling tournaments – which in the 1980s saw legends like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Mick Mcmanus fighting it out at the Spa Royal Hall.

Every Monday from July 25 until September 5, promoters will stage Big Time Wrestling inside the Royal Hall. Doors will open at 7pm for 7.30pm.

Bradlee Taylor of Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment said the five bout, two to two and-a-half hour shows were aimed at a family audience.

Matches will feature Heavyweight Challenges, Tag Team Thrillers and Over the top rope Royal Rumble.

“We were delighted when The Spa granted our wish of presenting the best family entertainment show for the people of Bridlington every week during the summer,” said Bradlee.

“It really is a big coup for UWE and we are going all out to make sure that the return of wrestling to Bridlington is a successful one. You can expect to see high drama, non-stop wrestling action and the best value ticket in town.

“Whether you watch the American style on the TV today or you are a fan of the British Wrestling style, there will be something for you on our UWE Big Time Wrestling shows.”

Tickets are on sale from The Spa box office, and include a family package – for two adults and two children – for £25.
