A medieval tavern with real ale, seafood stalls, Russian and Greek delicacies and Yorkshire pudding wraps will be among the tasty treats at Sewerby Hall’s first food festival next month.

Guests will be tempted by around 50 stalls, selling everything from pizza to prosecco, chocolate to coffee and sausage to shellfish - and there will be cookery demonstrations throughout the day.

Cllr Richard Burton, portfolio holder for leisure, tourism and culture, said: “This new event will be a great addition to the summer programme at Sewerby Hall and Gardens this year, and for Bridlington as a whole, offering not only a fun day out, but also a unique opportunity to learn more about our vital local fishing industry, and our sealife.”

The Sewerby Food Festival, on Sunday, August 12, will also feature a butcher, a baker and an artisan pork pie maker, as well as a beekeeper with honey products.
