CHART toppers Rizzle Kicks and X-Factor finalist Marcus Collins will be among the stars performing at this year’s Brid Bash.

Viking FM have this week unveiled the first acts that will feature in the star studded line up at what has become one of the town’s biggest live music events, held at the Spa, with more big names to be announced in the coming weeks.

So far joining hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks and Liverpudlian artist Marcus Collins at the ever popular event, which this year for the first time moves to a Saturday, August 4, will be: UK band Lawson; Britain’s Got Talent finalist and Irish singer-songwriter Ryan O’Shaughnessy; R&B singer Lemar whose big break came on television show Fame Academy; the dreadlocked singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner; and former X-Factor contestant Misha B.

Jim Coulson, from Viking FM’s Breakfast Show, said: “Brid Bash goes from strength to strength – and this year looks set to be the best line-up yet. All the artists are looking forward to spending a day at the seaside – as well as meeting myself and Rosie of course.”

Rosie added: “I can’t believe what an amazing line up we’ve got this year too. It’s going to be difficult to get up on stage and present the gig as I’ll be wanting to watch all the artists perform!

“I think this could be the biggest line up we’ve ever had! This year’s event will be extra special, as not only will it be one of the first live appearances of Misha B after The X Factor Live Tour earlier this year, but it’ll also see established acts Lemar and Newton Faulkner with their first new material in years.”

Like last year, the event is sponsored by Quality Solicitors Lockings, who are delighted to be part of Brid Bash once again.

They said: “It is a great honour for us to be sponsoring the event once more. It is important to us to help the community and put Bridlington and East Yorkshire on the map.”

“Everyone loves live music and there is no greater way to bring all ages of the community together. There is already a lot of speculation about which acts will be announced – it’s great that the name Brid Bash alone is generating so much excitement.”
