Me And My Girl
Spotlight Theatre, Bridlington
A WONDERFUL mixture of humour from the aristocrats to the cockney sparrows made the Spotlight Theatre production of Me And My Girl a real winner.
A full house packed into the theatre to watch the performance, fully engrossed in the funny and touching story but waiting for the happy ending to come.
Dale Ibbetson, who played the new Lord Bill, was absolutely hilarious and continued to be fantastically funny throughout.
Bill’s girlfriend, played by Caroline Ibbetson, was equally funny and the couple made the show. They were the perfect partnership.
The entire cast, resplendent in their wonderful costumes, added their own twist on the classic story but did the original musical justice.
The detailed stage design and the clever set changes really helped to tell the story and made the show exciting and enjoyable.
We left the show happy and fulfilled – with our sides aching with laughter! JC
