Hall closed but events are still on

SEWERBY Hall is now closed to the public for the winter season – but will open for various events planned over the next few months.

The estate remains open to the public and there are no admission charges to the grounds.

The estate office is open daily and visitors can still pick up golf clubs for the pitch and putt and putting greens while the weather remains fine and dry.

The Clock Tower Tea Rooms are open daily between 10am and 3pm and 10am and 4pm on weekends.

The zoo now charges for admission (£2.25 for adults and over 60s and £1.10 for children) and is open daily between 10am and 4pm.

The walled gardens are opened on a morning at 10am and locked at 3pm but the pleasure gardens remain accessible until dusk.

The car park is open from 8.30am-5pm.

Sewerby Hall also has an autumn and winter brochure available which details all the events and activities you can expect to find at the hall and gardens between now and March 2012.

The brochure can be picked up from the estate office.

Planned for October are the popular CBBC Live ‘n’ Deadly: Deadly Scene Investigation event, Orangery musical concerts together with children’s sports activities throughout half-term as well as Halloween events tomorrow and Saturday.

All details are listed on the event section of the Sewerby Hall website, or contact the estate office for more details.
