Sewerby visited unbeaten Fenner and having won the toss elected to bat first hoping to post a big score.
Things went awry when they lost a wicket with one run on the board and although stand in opener Sam Tennant stood firm, the loss of Ben Dobson for eight and Russ Robinson for 12 left them at 49/3 after 19 overs.
Mike Artley joined Tennant and these two built the score to 95 after 34 overs before Tennant was out for 37.
Two further quick wickets saw scoring reduced to a crawl and when Artley was seventh out for 48, the innings quickly faded to be all out for 137 after 46.5 overs in what was a very disappointing display.
A fiery opening from Russ Robinson saw Fenner reduced to 18/2 after nine overs but no other bowler was able to back him up.
Hadfield and Davy put on 88 for the next wicket before Hadfield was out for 50.
Davy remained unbeaten on 59 as Fenner reached the winning target in 34.5 overs.
