Sewerby 2nds derby win against Bridlington 2nds lifted them to third place in Beckett League Division Two.
In a thrilling finale, Sewerby needed 38 off the final four overs, and managed to get over the line with two balls to spare.
Bridlington batted first and captain Andy Leeson made 65 in their total of 155, with Steve Lount adding 27 and Ben Ibson 25.
The wickets were shared around the Sewerby bowlers, but teenager Jake Hatton returned the best figures of 2-24 from 12 overs.
Ian Dennis’ 53 set up the grandstand finish, and when Calvin Roche hit a six, momentum was swinging Sewerby’s way.
Alex Shipley and Roche guided the hosts to a three-wicket win in the final over. Pete Bowtell claimed 3-34 for Bridlington.
