Tight-head prop Josh Thundercliffe is heading back to the club, and head coach Paul Cook has promised more new recruits will follow.

Cook said: “ Bridlington RUFC old boy Josh Thundercliffe returns to us after a few seasons in National League Rugby with Hull Ionians, which we are delighted about.

“We have several new faces arriving.

“Some are local lads with whom I have worked previously and some are from further afield.”

Cook was also pleased his side will begin the new season on home soil.

“We are pleased with a home draw in the Yorkshire Shield and we resume pre-season on Thursday, July 7,” he said.

“Training will be each Tuesday and Thursday throughout July and August.

“We will be aiming to do well in the league and Shield and will hopefully be well prepared and organised when August 27 arrives.”
