Sunday’s Bridlington Half Marathon looks set to be contested by a bumper field, after online entries reached their maximum limit before the closing date.

Interest in the race is proving even greater than last year and 700 runners signed up in advance of Monday’s cut-off.

No entries for the main event will be accepted on the day, but you can join the one-mile fun run along the seafront, with entries accepted at Jeromes from 8am.

Last year’s half-marathon was won by New Marske Harriers athlete James Bulman, with former winner Carl Ryde in second.

Race organisers have appealed for Bridlington Road Runners club members to help set up the course from 7:30am on Sunday.
