Vikki Bannister.

Vikki Bannister, who is the head of art at Headlands School, is organising the event as part of her fund-raising campaign for the charity CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

She is hoping fitness fans will join her in running, walking, cycling, skating or other ways of travelling a minimum of 5km - a challenge she has named the This Beard Runs For Pizza Birthday Run.

Vikki said: "This Sunday would have been my husband's birthday and to mark the occasion I am inviting one and all to join in a virtual event that I have organised in support of CALM.

"Do whatever your favourite outdoors activity is, either alone, with family. with a friend, with your pet, whoever you enjoy the company of. Then, finish the day by eating your favourite pizza - it's what Mark would have wanted after all."

Vikki is asking for a minimum donation of £5 per person to take part, with proceeds going to CALM, the leading movement on suicide which is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.
