The BTCC season was completed despite the problems that the Covid-19 pandemic caused to sport throughout last year, but Proctor, pictured above in action at Thruxton last season, managed to earn some solid results in a fine debut season for his team.

Proctor said: “Before we know it the 2021 season will be with us.

“We are already busy working on getting onto the grid again and this involves speaking to teams and our sponsors and potential new sponsors.

“There are great marketing and hospitality opportunities available with the huge television and social media exposure that the BTCC enjoys.

“I’ll be focused on maintaining my fitness as well as keeping my race skills sharp with some online Simulator racing that helped me prepare for the delayed 2020 BTCC season.”

The 2021 season is due to start in early April at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent.

A media day to unveil the teams and their drivers will take place before then and testing days will also take place pre-season.
