In a below-par performance, Bridlington Road Runners’ Phill Taylor was still able to finish second at the Burton Pidsea 10K on Sunday, in a time of 35:38.
On the same day, at the Yorkshire 10K, at Newby Hall near Ripon, Emma Brown ran in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and finished 35th in a time of 44:30.
Also, on Sunday, two runners from Bridlington Road Runners took part in the Filey 10K Beach race, which has a particularly steep incline towards the finish of the course as it leaves the beach to climb up to the country park from the yacht club.
The official results ahave not yet been confirmed but Kerry Whitehead had a time of 55:14 and Angela Bentley just missed out on beating the hour mark in 60:12
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Andy Godfrey travelled down to Leicestershire to run in the Conkers Parkrun and finished the 5km course in 173rd place in 31:15, with a field of nearly 230 runners competing.
