Two members of Bridlington Road Runners attended the City of Hull AC track to take part in last Wednesday’s 5,000m race.
Phill Taylor finished first in a time of 16:29 and team-mate Josh Taylor was 16th in 19:30.
There was a misty start to Saturday, but it was still warm, and the popularity of the weekly Sewerby Parkrun 5K continues to grow.
There were some fantastic times and positions from the Road Runners contingent with junior Lewis Dale finishing third overall in 18:42, which was a personal best time.
Nick Jordan was fourth in 18:57 and another junior, Emily Carver, was the first BRR lady in 21:55.

In preparation for the Robin Hood Half Marathon, Simon Knowles took part in the Mansfield Parkrun 5K on Saturday, finishing in 21st place in 23:56.
The following day he completed the marathon in 1:49:31 and Antonio Vicente completed the full marathon in 7:09:18.
On Sunday, several Bridlington members took part in the annual Filey Lions 10K Beach Race. Despite the fog, all the team, including Scott Hargreaves, Tony Hughes, Mandy Holah and Bruce Pawson, enjoyed the tough surface and are awaiting the official times.
