Bridlington Swimming Club sent four representatives to the latest Hull Open Gala at the city’s Ennerdale pool.
Having work hard to reach the required standard for the event, the quartet came away with several medals and a number of swimmers achieved Yorkshire qualifying times.
Star performer was Katie Nicholson who won the 200m backstroke event and competed in the 100m individual medley.
Niamh Hall took part in the 50m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 200m backstroke races, and Jasmine Sissions was involved in the 50m freestyle and the 100m butterfly.
Lily Sellick also took to the water, racing in the 50m freestyle.
A club spokesman said: “This gala was a great experience for the younger swimmers who have worked extremely hard to qualify for the event. Hopefully this will be the first of many for them. All girls thoroughly enjoyed the day of swimming.”
The swimmers are now training for the club championships before Christmas.
