England Netball is encouraging women aged 16 and over to make Back to Netball their resolution for 2014.

New sessions take place every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm at Bridlington School Sports College.

Back to Netball sessions are running nationwide this January and are ideal for ladies who have not taken to the court for a few years, or since school, or anywhere in between, and cost only £2 per session.

Running across England since 2010, nearly 40,000 women have taken part in sessions and realised the benefits of getting involved in this worthwhile sport.

Pauline Hardy, Humberside netball development officer, said: “Back to Netball provides a gentle re-introduction to the sport for ladies of all ages and abilities.

“Sessions are coach-led and cover the basics from chest passes to shooting.

“Whether it is about rediscovering sporting abilities you forgot you had, losing a few pounds or making new friends, these sessions have something for everyone.”

“Many have forgotten how much they loved playing, but I am happy to remind them. It’s great for getting fit, having fun and making friends”.
