Flamborough Head Golf Club’s new captain Kevin Davey drove-in on Sunday morning in front of about 65 members.
The low numbers were due to the club having to send a team to play in a delayed Scarborough and District Alliance fixture.
The captain was joined by the new vice captain Brian Ackers, club chairman Terry Wright and the immediate past captain Tony Barnes.
Davey is a left-hander but managed to drive-in with an old right-handed club as is the tradition at the Flamborough club.
After the drive-in, members played an individual Stableford in very blustery conditions.
The first division winner with 35 points was Mark Langridge. He took the honours on a countback from Martin Wood with Peter Dyson third on 34 points.
