Youngsters at Bridlington Lawn Tennis Club has benefited from a donation given by Lloyd Dowson, Chartered Accountants, Tax and Business Advisors.
The company’s support has enabled the club to purchase T-shirts for those members who take part in matches and also acquire some new equipment for junior members.
Margaret Terry, one of the coaches at the club, said: “We are very grateful to Lloyd Dowson for the donation as it has enabled us to purchase equipment so that we can develop the fitness levels of our younger members.
“It is also fantastic that our junior members can wear their T-shirts when taking part in matches.”
The youngters attend training sessions on Friday evenings and they have the opportunity to take part in fitness work and improve their tennis skills, while the famous Wimbledon tournament continues to raise the profile of the game and encourages people to take part in the sport during the summer months.
Vanessa Rowbottom, marketing manager for Lloyd Dowson commented: “We are pleased to support the Bridlington Lawn Tennis Club again this year and it is great to see the junior section of the club increasing in membership.
“It is a place where young people can keep active, improve their skills and have fun playing tennis.”
Training sessions take place on Fridays and Mondays at the club at Dukes Park and cost £1 per week.
It costs £15 to join as a junior member.
