Matthew Bonnett hit top gear at Fulbeck in the first round of the National Karting Federation (NKF) British Championship.
TheBridlington teenager won all three heats putting him on pole for the final.
Track conditions remained dry and saw Bonnett take the chequered flag.
The crowd cheered and Bonnett lifted his hand to acknowledge his team boss Mark Baines as he crossed the line.
Bonnett said: “I love this track. It’s a hard, technical, fast-cornered track and it’s my strength these sort of tracks.
“I’m so happy I had tears in my eyes crossing the line.
“I would like to thanks Toby Richardson at Ford in Bridlington for sponsoring me this round, also my parents for everything they do financially.
“Also thanks to my team Mark Baines motorsport and Force Engine Builders.”
