THE junior section at Bridlington Golf Club held their annual prize presentation recently.

The presentation took place following the popular Sydd Rudd salver, which saw 20 teams of three players (one junior member, one senior member and one lady member) take part in the Texas Scramble format, which always proves popular.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and in particular the mild autumnal conditions.

The eventual winners were the team consisting of Matthew Raybould, Mike Bakes and Gaye Tunstall. They won with an excellent score of 63.9.

Following the game a packed clubhouse enjoyed watching all the Junior members receive their prizes and trophies from the many events held for them throughout the year.

The junior organiser Anthony Howarth officiated at the presentation and club captain Mike Wilkinson was on hand to present all the prizes.

Two special presentations were made for Junior Golfer of the Year and Most Improved Junior Golfer of the Year.

The first award went to the Junior team, consisting of Jon Pearce, Nick Raybould, Matthew Raybould and Henry Howarth, who managed to win the East Riding Junior League South East Division for the first time.

The most improved golfer award went to Bradley Marshall.

He has had an excellent year winning three trophies and seeing his handicap reduce by an incredible 20 shots from 54 to 34.
