The annual Ladies Open Day at Bridlington Golf Club proved to be a very successful occasion last Wednesday.

The winners and runners-up were both from the host club and the highlight was a hole-in-one by Lesley Kilvington on her way to top spot.

Kilvington and Anne Williams secured the top prize with an excellent score of 42 points after a hole-in-one on the par-three second.

This was her first hole-in-one and she admitted that she was very shocked, but very happy, when she found the ball nestling in the bottom of the hole.

Williams and Kilvington won by the narrowest of margins as the second placed pairing of Jane Howarth and Barbara Rushworth, also from the Belvedere club, also had 42 points but were beaten by virtue of a worse back nine score.

Also in the prizes were Carol Burton and Janet Rodgers from the Bridlington club, who finished in fifth place on a very well organised day enjoyed by all those who played
