Bridlington Swimming Club’s coffers have been boosted after two substantial cheques were handed over.
Mike Hall completed the North Western Tough Mudder, a 12-mile assault course, and having tackled it once he had a half-hour rest and then went and did it again.
His efforts rasied £660 for the club.
Meanwhile, the president of Bridlington Lions Club, Gordon Boyes, presented Bridlington Swimming Club with a cheque for £750 at their presentation evening.
As the club are looking forward to moving to the new Leisure World complex in the New Year they have been looking to raise funds for two new Level One swimming coaches.
The Lions Club kindly donated the cheque in response to their appeal, enabling the club to begin training new coaches, which will provide the swimmers with more help for them to achieve their potential.
