For the third race in the East Hull Summer League, Bridlington Road Runners again had a great turnout of 25 yellow vests.
This race was one of the shortest in the series, being only four miles, but although it is a short route it is one of the hardest, requiring a fast pace with no time to slow.
The race was held in East Park in Hull with just over two laps of the park.
Phill Taylor showed good form finishing in a strong second place in 20:44. Nick Hellewell was next Brid man back in 12th spot with 23:41 and a sprint finish decided the club’s third man over the line with Tony Smith just pipping Simon Ellerker and taking 24th spot in 24:32.
In the ladies race Emma Brown was again in the prizes, finishing in 32nd overall, and second lady in a time of 25:09.
Cathy Wood was next up in 51st and fifth lady in 26:17, while Emma Artley had a good run and finished in 80th, sixth lady back in 28:01.
