Golfers just pip rugby club rivals

THE annual Stableford competition between Flamborough Head Golf Club and Bridlington Rugby Union Football Club for the coveted Bucket Trophy.

This competition was started in 1993 and has been played annually since then for a trophy in the shape of a window cleaner’s bucket which was presented by Richard Moore, a window cleaner and member of the club.

This year it was Flamborough Head Golf Club who won the trophy with a score of 238 points to the Rugby Club’s 236 points.

The highest score on the day went to Tom Lambert and Craig Smith from the home club who can be seen on the back row of the photograph.
