Bridlington will be looking to rack up a fourth consecutive win over Scarborough when they travel to Silver Royd on Saturday.
They won there in the league and the Yorkshire Shield last season, and edged the first league meeting of the 2015/16 season at Dukes Park in September.
Captain Ryan Girking is hoping that his side can keep up their hoodoo over their neighbours this weekend.
“It’s the one game that stands out for everybody each season.
“We have beaten them three times in a row, even though we didn’t play particularly well in the home game earlier this season. That will give us a lot of confidence.
“I think that if we play to half of our potential, we should beat them again, however, it’s a derby game and we know that anything can happen. Often it depends on which team wants it most.”
Bridlington go into the Yorkshire One fixture in third place, with Scarborough 10 points behind them in fifth, but they have only been beaten once at home this season.
Bridlington head coach Paul Cook said: “We know we will face a very tough test up at Scarborough.
“They will want revenge for our victory in September and we need to be at our best to win.
“They are well organised and kick their goals. We are pleased with last week’s win but know that this Saturday will provide a much sterner test.”
