Bridlington Road Runners’ Tom McDonald and Alan Woolston completed 79 miles of The Wolds Way route, which starts at Hessle foreshore and finishes at Filey.
They were running for the charity R2C2 and their target was to complete the course within 24 hours.
They achieved this successfully with room to spare, finishing in a time of 20 hours and 30 minutes.
McDonald, who is an established triathlete, said: “This was one of the hardest day’s exercise I have ever done.”
Meanwhile, other Bridlington club members were taking part in a slightly shorter challenge at the Jim Dingwall 10K race in Hull on Sunday.
Danny Brunton led the field home in a time of 35:14 to take first place.
