Dukes Park ladies win Stirrup Cup

THE Stirrup Cup is a Ladies Competition played between the three Bridlington clubs every year.

layed on a home and away basis, each club plays four games and the winner is the club with the highest cumulative score after all six games have been played.

The cup was first played for in 1983 and the ladies of Bridlington Bay, Westgate and Dukes Park have enjoyed this competition every year since.

The final game rotates each year between the three clubs and this year Brid Bay was host as they played Westgate.

Dukes Park had played all four of their games and their score to beat was 570.

Westgate had 425 and Brid Bay 414 so the competition was wide open and all three clubs were in a good position.

The result of the final match was Brid Bay 129 Westgate 138.
