Di Levitt added a European Championship medal to her collection after being part of the England Over 55s team, which had a 100% record in the event.
Levitt, deputy headteacher at Martongate School in Bridlington, scored three goals in four games in the tournament and said: “I now have a European gold medal to add to my World Cup one.
“We played Wales in the opening game and beat them 8-2. Next was Holland who were obviously up for revenge as we had beaten them in the final of the World Cup last year on their home turf. They were a much improved squad but we managed a 2-1 victory. We then had to play the Welsh again and we beat them 6-2.”
“Our final match was against the Dutch again, this time we beat them 4-0 and I scored the last goal.
She is now waiting to hear if her goalscoring expolits have secured a place in the England squad for the World Cup, which will be played in Australia in April.
“The selectors have looked at players in our age group and those who are moving up an age group and we are awaiting for the squad to be announced.”
