Corkish Mick gave his syndicate a great night out but couldn’t do enough to win the Steel City Cup final in Sheffield last week.
The greyhound, who is partly owned by Bridlington memorabilia trader Alan Briggs, finished fourth behind favourite Pay Freeze.
Mr Briggs said: “Even though he was beaten by five lengths, we were very pleased. He didn’t get the start he was capable of, which seems to be his Achilles heel at the minute, so I never thought he was going to win but we had a fantastic night.
“About 20 of us wore T-shirts with his name on and we had a lot of fun.”
