With less than a month until Bridlington hosts the start of the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire, organisers have revealed details of some of the events planned for the town.
Arts, sports, cultural and food events will take place before and after the races at all start and finish towns.
Street performers, flash mobs, live music and giant Tour de Yorkshire land art are planned for Bridlington and Scarborough, where stage one ends.
Chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, Sir Gary Verity, said: “The tour is about so much more than the race.
“It’s about bringing people and communities together and we’d encourage everyone heading out to watch the race to embrace all the other fantastic activities taking place over the weekend.”
The race starts outside Bridlington Spa and the teams competing have been announced this week.
Sir Gary added: “This is the largest field we have ever assembled and the quality of it reflects the high esteem in which our race is held. Having the very best teams in the business coming to Yorkshire is a massive coup,”
