Spaces are still available for the hugely popular Bridlington Golf Festival which takes place next week (Monday May 7 to Saturday May 12).

Golfers from all over the UK will descend upon the resort to compete in 13 events held at Bridlington GC, the Bridlington Links GC and Flamborough Head GC.

Excellent entries have been received by organisers and in excess of 1,000 golfers are set to compete in the week long event which has rapidly become one of the most successful events of its kind in the country.

Festival organiser Anthony Howarth said:“This will be the 25th annual Bridlington Golf Festival and each year we are staggered at the huge response from competitors.

“We still have spaces available in some of the events which include gents, ladies and mixed formats.

“All we can hope now is that the weather is kind to us.”

The week is set to get off to a flying start when Flamborough hosts the popular Junior Championship, where the future Rory McIlroys will aim to make a name for themselves.

During the week there will be two prize presentations, the first on Wednesday evening at Bridlington GC and Flamborough will host the closing presentation on Saturday night.
