Around 650 runners have signed up for this Sunday’s Bridlington Half Marthon

Entries for the main event are now closed, and the race will set off earlier than in previous years, at 10am, on the North promenade

You can still enter the one-mile fun run, which sets off after the main race at 10.15am. All ages can sign up at Jerome’s, which is acting as the race base, from 8am on Sunday.

Bridlington Road Runners members and volunteers are asked to help set up the course, which heads out to Bempton, from 7.30am.

Organiser Judy Allison said: “We’re just hoping for good weather now.”
