Bridlington Town continued their pre-season programme with a 5-0 win over Westella and Willerby last night.
The Seasiders dominated for large periods of the match, but had to wait until midway through the first half before they took the lead, when Gareth Owen stroked home from eight yards.
Just before half time, striker Brett Agnew, who had already clipped the bar, found the top corner of the net with a stunning shot from 25 yards.
Agnew added his second early in the second half, turning sharply in the box and finishing clinically.
Town added two more goals in the later stages. Chris Adams broke Westella’s offside trap and rounded the goalkeeper for number four, and Danny Chambers cut inside two defenders and fired a low shot inside the near post.
Next up for the Seasiders is a friendly against North Ferriby United at Queensgate on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
